John Eastman, a former attorney for Donald Trump, pleaded not guilty to charges related to the conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results in Arizona.
Eastman masterminded the plan to reject electoral counts from key states to hinder Joe Biden's path to an Electoral College win and memos outlining other options for overturning the 2020 election results.
Eastman is among over a dozen Trump allies who were charged in Arizona, including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani and former Trump aide Boris Epshteyn.
Eastman also faces professional repercussions for his conduct. In March, a California judge recommended that he be disbarred in the state.
