  • Former NYPD officer sentenced to 10 years in prison for assaulting a police officer on January 6

  • Steve Bannon, a former advisor to President Trump, was convicted for being in contempt of Congress for defying his subpoena to testify before the January 6th Committee. 

  • The Jan 6 Committee issued a subpoena for Phil Waldron, a retired Army colonel with a background in information warfare who had circulated a detailed and extreme plan to overturn the 2020 election.

  • Witnesses for the seventh hearing will be Steven Ayres, a rioter who breached the Capitol, and Jason Van Tatonhove, a former Oath Keepers spokesperson.

  • VP Mike Pence, not former President Donald Trump, was the one who called the National Guard to the Capitol on January 6th. 

  • Cassidy Hutchinson, Mark Meadows' former senior aide, will be the witness for June 28th's last minute hearing. 

  • Committee will investigate Ginni Thomas, wife of Justice Clarence Thomas, for her role in the January 6th riots and pressuring top leaders to find fraud in the 2020 election. 

  • The FBI raided the home of Michigan Republican gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley on June 9th and arrested him for his role in the Capitol riot.

  • Enrique Tarrio, the former chairman of the Proud Boys, and four other members of the far-right group were indicted on Monday for seditious conspiracy in connection with the storming of the Capitol.

Charles Donohoe pleaded guilty to conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting or impeding officers.

Proud Boys Convicted of Sedition. 
Five members of the Proud Boys, including the group’s former national chairman, were indicted for seditious conspiracy for their actions before and during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
